Spring is here, and so is a renewed interest in energy!

From the SNIA Green Storage TWG and Emerald program, to the OCP sustainability push, energy efficiency will be big this year.

Quarch is very much ready for this, with an ever expanding range of interposers to easily capture energy data (along with temperatures, water use, sideband assertions, and more!).

Check out some of our latest products and free software updates that will improve your testing.

Are you ready for OCP power testing?

The Open Compute Platform is focussing on energy efficiency, and now you can perform detailed power analysis of the latest OCP 3.0 NIC devices.

By providing calibrated power data, digital sideband capture, and simple automation options, you can gain far more data on the performance of your device.

Do you trust the manufacturer's power numbers?

Its clear that we cannot simple accept energy claims from manufacturers. Independent testing is critical.

A manufacturer may underestimate power use, costing more than you expected. They can also over-estimate if they are concerned about the 'worst case'. This can lead to over paying for cooling systems you do not need.

As a simple example, we tested our office dishwasher. It took seconds to set up, and let us see overall energy, pump and heater cycling, power factor profile and even water use.

It turned out our Eco mode uses 18% more energy that the quick wash cycle! Read the full blog here:

  Scalextric power analysis anyone?

    Live demos are a rollercoaster!

Keith and Kyle used our multi-channel analyser to test their driving efficiency on a Scalextric track

Ditch your scope and get started with Quarch Power Studio

Whether you are measuring an SSD, CPU, or server, Quarch Power Studio's latest features can provide a major boost to your testing.

Listen in, as our head of software shows off the abilities and latest updates to our software. QPS can display analog and digital signals, so its perfect for debugging issues around power-up and low-power states.

  CXL DevCon 2024

Kyle attended the first-ever CXL Consortium DevCon, April 30 to May 1, in Santa Clara, California, alongside our Symbiosys Alliance partner SerialTek.

CXL DevCon presented a fantastic opportunity for our Members to dive deep into the world of CXL technology with insights straight from the experts

  QPS 1.39 release

This brings in auto-annotations, improved scaling, AC crest-factor channels and more.

Coming soon with 1.40, we will have a new caching system that greatly improves loading times, so make sure you trial the latest releases!
